Relix is a modern event venue near downtown Knoxville on Central Street in the heart of Happy Holler. Founded by the owners of its sister venue across the street, The Brookside, Relix is the perfect industrial venue for weddings, celebrations, and events of all kinds.
This 3,000 square foot modern space can host up to 150 people seated at tables and 250 people standing. With original exposed brick, bistro lights strung across 16-foot rough-sawn wood ceilings, large front windows, and light grey walls, this historic turned modern wedding venue has both a charming, yet simple atmosphere so that you can make your event all your
own.
Relix has an industrial, urban charm, but is also simple enough for you to make your event unique & personalized to your own style. The original exposed brick walls, 16-foot, rough-sawn wood ceilings, light grey walls, and polished concrete floors & bar tops offer a modern & urban backdrop for your event. The large front windows let in floods of natural light and the chandeliers & bistro lights strung across the ceiling will add a touch of elegance. - Ideal for ceremony and receptions with guest counts of 125 or less, receptions and other seated events with 200 guest, or standing room only events up to 300

The Relix Story
Rich Character & original architecture
Relix was originally constructed in 1915 as a CI Vest Dry Goods and is most notably remembered for its use as a White Stores grocery in the historic Happy Holler district. After the establishment of the trolley line in 1905, Happy Holler served as the heart of business in North Knoxville and its name emerged from its reputation of being a place where alcohol could be purchased easily in the back alleys during prohibition. Notorious for its revelry, Happy Holler is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Owner, Daniel Schuh, is proud to say the history of this unique space remains in the 16-foot, rough-sawn wood ceiling, exposed brick walls, and polished concrete floors & bar tops. Though it has been transformed into a beautiful event venue space, it still holds much of its original character.
The Relix has a unique history and charm that has been preserved throughout the years while simultaneously transforming into a beautiful luxury event space. The venue still holds onto its roots, while showcasing elegant details, luxurious décor and a wide range of amenities that make it both a stunning setting for weddings and sophisticated venue for any type of event.
